South African futures were higher on Monday, as the JSE all share closed firmer on the prospect of a victory by Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa as ANC party president.The Dow was up 0.82% soon after the JSE’s close.European stocks rose for the first time in four sessions, with banks leading the charge on hopes that the highly anticipated tax reform in the US would soon be passed.The FTSE 100 was up 0.52% and the DAX 30 1.67%.The all share closed 0.51% higher at 57,707.40 points and the blue-chip top 40 rose 0.14%. Banks rose 5.21%, general retailers 4.09%, financials 3.49% and property 1.83%.
