Nesan Nair from Sasfin Securities chose Naspers (R3629.97/+2.78%) as his stock pick of the day. The company was up 2.8% on Monday, despite the controversy stemming from Dstv and its questionable arrangement with ANN7. From an investors point of view, Naspers is basically Tencent, with a few other businesses added. “I don’t think it’s going have a material impact on the Naspers share price, I think it does hurt the reputation of management to an extent; that they may actually be engaged in something like this as the allegations tend to do a lot more damage than the truth at end of the day,” says Nair.
