The JSE is headed for a blue Monday, judging from Asian markets.Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 index was down 0.6% and Sydney’s S&P/ASX 200 index was down 0.3% at 7am SA time.The rand was 0.34% weaker against the dollar at R14.41, 0.23% weaker against the euro at R16.79 and 0.13% weaker against the pound at R18.91.Furniture retailer Lewis said on October 27 it expected to report on Monday that headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the six months to end-September fell by up to 18%.Merchandise sales reflected a steady improvement over the period, increasing by 5% on the matching period, with comparable stores sales up 7.3%, the trading statement said.But the group’s overall revenue declined by 3.2%, mainly as a result of the 9.8% decline in "other revenue" over the corresponding prior period.
