Teams show off their endurance and skills
It was a motorsport-filled weekend from both an international and local perspective
Following the British Grand Prix, it would seem that things are again hotting up for the top drivers vying for the championship crown. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) managed to win his home race following a consistent qualifying session, where he started the race from pole and pretty much remained there right to the end. He managed to stay ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas, who finished second ahead of Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari). Positive result It was a more positive result for Hamilton following a rather lacklustre Austrian Grand Prix that saw him finish fourth overall. This past weekend’s result puts Hamilton only one point adrift of current championship leader Sebastien Vettel (Ferrari), which will certainly put a spanner in the works going forward. We still maintain that this has been one of the best seasons of Formula One in recent years and it will be quite interesting to see how the rest of the championship unfolds.
