Honda’s people carrier surprises
Honda could have made the BR-V another nasty cheapie, but it didn’t. It’s actually rather good, says Mark Smyth
Who would have thought that the dreadful Honda Mobilio could morph into something so very different. Honda has turned a nasty and cheap seven-seater into something that is not only still affordable, but very practical, well equipped and actually rather good looking. Well done, Honda. Why didn’t you just do that the first time? Unlike the Mobilio, which looked as if it had come out of a chop-shop, the BR-V looks like one complete vehicle. Its SUV appearance might hide the fact that this is no off-roader, but I can only think that the designers wanted to create a vehicle that stands out for its style compared to more mundane offerings in the segment.
