Petersen Museum is one of LA’s real stars
The Petersen Museum in LA houses some of the most famous vehicles ever made. Mark Smyth took a look around
Los Angeles — a city where dreams are made or hopes are dashed. A city that is home to some of the world’s greatest celebrities and a few notorious types too. As you will have read recently, it is also home to the fabulous personal car and bike collection of Jay Leno, but his is not the only incredible car collection there. On the famous Wilshire Boulevard sits a building that you would be for forgiven for thinking is actually a massive art gallery. Its exterior is dominated by vast waves of red steel, which rather fits in with the fact that the area of town is known as the Museum Row. And there is no arguing that what lies within is very definitely art. Three more floors of automotive art were waiting for us beyond the reception desk though and it was to prove to be a veritable feast for those of us with fuel in our veins.
