BENTLEY has unveiled the latest version of its Continental GT Speed which will be in SA around the middle of the year.The fastest production Bentley yet — with a top speed of 331km/h — now delivers even more power and torque, and a new Black Edition model joins the Speed family.Engineers have developed even more muscle from the Continental’s 6.0l twin-turbocharged W12 engine.The GT Speed now produces 472kW — up from 467kW — and 20Nm of extra torque, bringing its total to a forceful 840Nm. This additional torque is applied through the rev range via careful re-optimisation of boost control, raising the grand tourer’s "torque plateau" of continuous maximum torque delivery from 2,000-5,000r/min, and bringing greater acceleration performance.As a result, the 0-100km/h sprint time has dropped to 4.1 seconds.At the same time, Bentley is also introducing the Continental GT Speed Black Edition which the company says celebrates the rich and striking depth of the GT’s sporting character.Availa...
