RENAULT has developed some serious va va boom in the past year. It has seen its sales this year alone jump 83%, overtaking Honda, Nissan, Kia and Chevrolet to take fifth place among the most popular passenger car makes in SA. Through the dealer channel its Sandero in both previous and new generations is the fifth best-selling car in the budget hatch category. Its new Clio 4 is the fourth best seller in the B-hatch supermini segment and in the compact and medium SUV market its new Duster has jumped straight in at number two behind the Toyota Rav4.
