July 12 this year marked 60 years since a group of British blues-obsessed hooligans gave their first performance at London’s Marquee Club as The Rollin’ Stones. By the end of the decade they had added a “g” to their name and were well on the way to becoming the greatest rock ’n roll band in the world, a title they still hold today. A selection of films tells their remarkable story, from their humble beginnings to global superstars via some infamous moments they’ll never be able to forget and some unbelievable ones they and we will always cherish.
