A righteously correct storm has been brewing in the US state of Florida after legislators introduced the controversial Parental Rights in Education Bill, now popularly known as the “Don’t Say Gay” Bill.
Essentially the bill, waiting to be signed into law by the state’s nasty piece of work Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, prohibits the teaching of lessons about sexual orientation in public schools from kindergarten to grade 3 — meaning that, while LGBTQIA+ people may exist in the real world of children in Florida, in the classroom they don’t and can’t be mentioned...
