WATCH: The story of the whipsawing rand and interest rates

In the space of one year, the rand has swung between being the best-performing currency against the dollar and the worst. Its current weakness has prompted the Reserve Bank to hold rates steady as the risk to inflation mounts and credit downgrades loom. Razia Khan from Standard Chartered Bank spoke to Business Day TV after the Bank announced it would keep rates steady.
