THE four trade unions in wage talks with South African Airways (SAA) have given conflicting accounts about whether or not negotiations have deadlocked.The unions — Uasa, the National Transport Movement (NTM), the National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) and the South African Cabin Crew Association (Sacca) — collectively form a bargaining unit that represents ground staff and cabin crew at the airline.SAA has two additional bargaining units — one for technical staff and the other for pilots.
