WATCH: What lies behind the dismal performance from SA’s factories

The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the vehicle sales numbers for March, showing that Toyota remains the leading car seller and exporter in the country. The Absa purchasing managers index (PMI) data, on the other hand, does not paint a rosy picture for manufacturers. The overall index declined for a second consecutive month, with optimism about future business conditions falling significantly.
