The company wants to reduce its reliance on music as music rights holders collect the majority of Spotify’s revenue

Los Angeles — Spotify Technology is developing several daily sports shows, a big part of the music-streaming giant’s push into original podcasts, according to people familiar with the plans.
One programme will be a recap of the day in sports and run for about 10 minutes, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the projects are still being developed. The Swedish company will probably start with a single show then ramp up. It’s considering a number of options, including audio programmes tailored to fans of specific teams...
