Boss of Kenya’s biggest telecoms company was set to step down in August after nine years at the helm, during which time the firm’s share price rose more than 400%

Nairobi — Kenya’s biggest telecoms company, Safaricom, said on Monday its CEO, Robert William Collymore, has died after a nearly two-year long battle with cancer.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Robert (Bob) William Collymore, CEO of Safaricom, which occurred at his home in the morning of July 1 2019,” the firm said...
