Woolworths in another social media storm even before morning coffee is served

The SA Reserve Bank has clarified that it is legal for stores to refuse cash payments after a social media storm erupted following Woolworths’ decision to stop accepting cash at some of its coffee shops.
The Bank said in a statement, first reported by Tech Central, that while it “promotes and encourages the use of cash in a safe and efficient manner, businesses, based on risk management principles, can exercise their discretion on whether to accept cash. For that matter, parties to a transaction can agree on any form of payment”...
