Audi to cut 9,500 jobs to fund shift to electric vehicles
The carmaker will, however, create up to 2,000 new positions in the areas of electric mobility and digitalisation

Hamburg/Munich — Volkswagen’s (VW) luxury car unit Audi said on Tuesday said it would cut one in 10 jobs, freeing up billions of euros to fund its shift towards electric-vehicle (EV) production.
Carmakers are struggling with an automotive industry downturn, particularly in key market China, and the need to increase investment in EVs as several countries move to eventually ban conventional combustion engines...
