EFF leader Julius Malema implored commercial real estate owners and managers at the South African Property Owners’ Association (Sapoa) annual convention on Wednesday to include black people in the development of assets. He said too often when people developed shopping centres and offices, they did not use small black business owners and service providers. They also displaced the "indigenous people" of SA. "You want political disruption but you must disrupt yourselves. You must start by creating meaningful change with land restitution and bringing 40% of your profits to the communities that you affect when you develop properties," he said.
