Propertuity’s vision of urban renewal benefits from RMH’s investment
JONATHAN Liebmann is a serial entrepreneur, having even run a laundry service in the past. Property is his first love, and he is finding success in urban renewal.Perhaps the biggest signal that Liebmann’s vision to become a leader in urban renewal is starting to gain momentum is the recent investment in his company by RMB Holdings (RMH).The investment house has announced that it is buying a third of Propertuity, the real estate developer started by Liebmann. He says the deal will help the company to enhance neighbourhoods in cities.Since its creation seven years ago, Propertuity has focused on the redevelopment of dilapidated industrial and office areas in Johannesburg and Durban, and owns 70 properties in both cities.
