BALWIN Properties grew its maiden full-year headline earnings per share 68% on the back of strong demand for its sectional title residential estates in high-density metropolitan nodes.More South African investors are being attracted to specialised property funds that offer consistent capital growth or income payouts during difficult economic times.Balwin listed in October 2015 with the support of billionaire investor Jonathan Beare and his company Buffet Investments, which took a large shareholding in the group.Its products have grown in popularity for people who are down-scaling out of houses into sectional title housing. Balwin earned revenue of R2.1bn during the year to February, a 54% increase on the year before.Balwin achieved profit after tax of R559m, exceeding its pre-listing forecast of R542m by R17m.
