Financial services sector’s losses to fraud and dishonesty more than doubled to R176m in 2023, industry body says

Fraudulent death claims are a mounting concern for insurance and investment companies, with the sector detecting more than 13,000 cases of graft in 2023, according to data provided by Association for Savings and Investment SA (Asisa).
