Men continue to dominate the R8.4-trillion assets management industry in SA, with the country’s top 10 asset management firms controlling more than 80% of the industry, a report by financial services group 27four shows.
The report, which collected data from 93 asset allocators, who have a combined R8.43-trillion in assets under custody, found that only 18% of CEOs and 16% of chief investment officers are women, with females more prevalent in entry-level positions, such as analysts...
