Denker Capital, the asset manager spun out of Sanlam in 2015, says investors should continue to invest opportunistically in both local and offshore markets rather than adopting a binary viewpoint and going “all in” on either option. 

While the JSE is often criticised for being overly concentrated due to the dominance of the bourse’s weighting by large cap stocks such as BHP Billiton, Prosus and Naspers, Denker warns that offshore markets also come with their own concentration risks. ..
