In the wake of the recent unrest that rocked SA, a basic income grant (Big) seems fait accompli. Whether you agree with its merits or whether the country’s overburdened tax base can afford it, the fact is politicians seem hell-bent on pushing it through to appease a disgruntled population.
But, assuming you haven’t already packed for Perth, you may as well try to benefit from it...
