Oakbay has offered curious South Africans some information on Charles King, the Swiss company that is buying Tegeta from the Gupta-run business for R2.97bn, along with some details on Charles King owner Amin al-Zoorani. Oakbay said Charles King was a special purpose vehicle that Zarooni acquired to facilitate the Tegeta purchase. Amid speculation about Zoorani’s business background, ANC MP Pravin Gordhan said earlier on Wednesday that he had received a tip that Zarooni was a player in the fashion world.
