CSG to acquire Stallion Reaction’s armed response and monitoring division
Outsourcing specialist CSG Holdings announced on Monday that it has entered into an agreement to buy Stallion Reaction’s armed response and monitoring division. CSG, which is conducting the deal through its subsidiary Invictus Risk, said the deal would allow it to "expand the basket of services" in facility management. The company said that it would pay about R55m for Stallion in January 2017. CSG recently bought the 7 Arrows monitoring and guarding business along with the security installation and maintenance business of Cubed Systems. The group said that the deal to buy Stallion would result in CSG becoming a prominent mid-sized armed response service provider in SA. "Given its existing operating platform in the security industry, it is expected that the acquisition [of Stallion] will be accretive to CSG’s operating margin at a relatively low level of risk," the group said. The deal will not include Stallion’s domestic guarding and CCTV monitoring divisions.
