ARB Holdings recorded double-digit growth in revenue and profit in the year to June, despite a tough trading environment.The electrical wholesaler and lighting distributor saw revenue leap 15.8% in the period, to R2.5bn, as profit for the year increased 9% to R160m. Headline earnings per share jumped 15.5%. But a continued lack of Eskom and general infrastructure spend squeezed margins."I think the results are commendable in a very difficult trading environment — business has not been easy," CEO Billy Neasham said on Wednesday.The group’s electrical division had secured orders from limited industrial and infrastructure project opportunities available in SA and neighbouring countries.
