Wayde van Niekerk and Caster Semenya have been nominated for the 2016 World Athletes of the Year awards‚ organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The list of 10 men and 10 women nominees were selected by an international panel of athletics experts‚ comprising representatives from all six continental areas of the IAAF. The Awards Night will be held in Monaco on Friday 2 December 2016.
