Google has beaten Apple to become the world’s most valuable brand, according to the latest Brand Finance Most Valuable Brand Survey. Google has a brand value of just under US$110bn, up 24%, while Apple is down 27%, ending five years at the top. Lego has regained its status as the most powerful brand. AT&T has replaced Verizon as the most valuable telecoms brand, while Emirates is supplanted by American, United and Delta as the most valuable airline brands. The brand values of Coca-Cola, Pepsi, KFC, McDonald’s and Subway have all been hit by healthy eating trends.
