8.02-----Was this Gordhan's 'nuclear option' or is there more to come?The finance minister, Pravin Gordhan, has changed the game by refocusing attention where it belongs: On the long list of shady, dodgy and underhand financial relationships between the Gupta's and their puppets in government.What is truly astounding is how all of these transactions, faithfully recorded by the Financial Intelligence Centre, did not cause the money-grabbers at SARS eyes to light up at a potential windfall. If SARS is investigating these transactions, it is taking an awfully long time to bring any of them to court.SARS has declined to comment, hauling out that hoary old explanation that it is protected by law from disclosing any of its investigations. Perhaps it is time to challenge this assumption in court. Is the public not entitled to know who the identity of tax cheats? If not, why not?The same goes for the Hawks and the National Prosecuting Authority, which appear to have missed billions sloshing...
