15.32------Gordhan is sending Brian Molefe a very direct messageIf the Hawks thought they would intimidate the finance minister, Pravin Gordhan, with their ridiculous request that he report to them like a criminal with a case to answer, they have failed.It's been a while since I have seen a statement as strongly worded as that issued by the Treasury this afternoon.The background: Treasury has been trying to get to the bottom of coal contracts between Tegeta - a Gupta owned company - and Eskom. The suspicion is that the contracts were too highly priced, that they involved sub-standard coal and that they, to put it bluntly, stunk of rotten cronyism.More background: When the Hawks wanted Gordhan to report to them last week, a strange thing happened.
