Cabinet backs Gordhan as innocent until proven otherwise, says Radebe

The cabinet has affirmed its support for Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, who it said was innocent until proven otherwise by a court of law. That was said by Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe at Thursday’s briefing on the latest cabinet meeting. "Cabinet remains confident in the country’s criminal justice system and the fair and just judicial processes which have defined our democratic era," said Radebe. "These processes must be allowed to take their course." Her also said the cabinet had approved the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill for public comment.
