The IFP says it is deeply saddened and disappointed by Ben Ngubane’s controversial roles in the sagas affecting the SABC and Eskom. But Ngubane’s spokesperson sought to rebut the party’s concern, saying suggestions of wrongdoing and incompetence on Ngubane’s part were unfounded. The IFP said this week that although Ngubane had every right to lead his own life after quitting politics, it was nevertheless concerned that a former deployee of the party had been sharply criticised and contradicted by people who reported to him at the SABC and Eskom. Narend Singh, spokesperson and chief whip of the IFP, said: "We were not impressed by the answers he gave during the ad hoc committee inquiry, especially as his testimony was sharply contradicted by others who gave testimonies. "As the party we don’t look at individuals because we believe that boards should take collective decisions. But we are nevertheless also concerned that it was under his watch that Eskom is finding itself in governance ...
