Ajay Gupta lied several times to me in interview, says Stephen Grootes
Eyewitness News’s (EWN) Stephen Grootes says one of the Gupta brothers, Ajay, "lied" "several times" in an interview nine months ago. Details of the interview, arranged through the Guptas’ UK-based PR firm Bell Pottinger, have just come to light. Grootes says he never had the opportunity to broadcast the interview and was sorely disappointed when was not allowed to talk about it. In an article headed "The interview I couldn’t publish Until Now", Grootes wrote that Bell Pottinger offered him an interview with "an important person" — with conditions. These included that Bell Pottinger would control the cameras and recording, and release the interview online "after a light edit".
