It adds to the long list of sectors under investigation by the Commission. Joining me with more is Nkonzo Hlatshwayo, who is competition partner at law firm Hogan Lovells. Nkonzo, let’s start with this case: nine agents had search-and-seizure operations yesterday and I understand it’s extended across the country today, also to Cape Town and other cities. What are they being investigated for? NKONZO HLATSHWAYO: They are suspected of having been involved in price fixing in a number of respects. We’re not sure what information the commission is relying on but clearly they have some information on the basis of which they launched these dawn raids...
