Bigbrain Moloi, founder of Moloi & Co Accountants, shares his journey from starting as a security guard, qualifying as a CA and the battle to get the first client. “I never knew I would be an accountant. I developed the love for accounting when I was studying. Initially I just wanted to get a degree and be a teacher, but then I liked accounting,” Moloi told The Big Small Business Show. He studied part time and worked as a security guard to fund to his degree. Three years after completing his articles he struggled to find a job because employers said he was overqualified. He eventually made the leap and started his own company using a loan he obtained from Absa as start up capital.
