South African motorsport legend, Eddie Keizan, who went on to establish Tiger Wheels as a major brand, has died.Eddie Keizan was educated at King Edwards V11 High School in Johannesburg and the University of the Witwatersrand. After leaving university, he followed his passion into motorsport, participating full-time for 14 years winning Production Car Championships in 1969, 1970, 1977, and1978, and competing in three World Championship Formula 1 rounds in South Africa from 1973 -1975 in a Tyrrell and Lotus. He also rallied successfully, winning Lesotho's Roof of Africa in 1969 and 1972. He retired from professional motorsport after winning the Wynns 1000kms at Kyalami in1979, though he continued racing competitively into the 21st Century, his last major victory coming at the 2012 Border 100 Endurance event.Eddie bought the tiny business of Tiger Wheels in 1972 using his share of the winnings of that year's SA Formula 5000 Championship, and as its CEO grew the business various phase...
